Placements24 is seeking a Senior Animation Supervisor for a remote-first role guiding a world-class team in high-end film and TV VFX. You will define animation style, ensure pipeline excellence, and deliver performances meeting top industry standards.

Lead remote animators, review work, mentor, and collaborate with VFX Supervisors, Directors, and department leads to achieve artistic and technical results on major global projects from your home studio.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in animation for film/television VFX
• Demonstrated leadership in creature/character/technical animation using a strong demo reel
• Strong understanding of animation principles and proficiency in Maya/Houdini

Responsibilities

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in animation for film and television VFX, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• A comprehensive demo reel showcasing exceptional animation skills and leadership in creature, character, or technical animation.
• Expert proficiency in industry-standard 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Houdini) and a deep understanding of animation principles.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage remote teams effectively.
• Strong understanding of the entire VFX pipeline and how animation fits within it.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with performance capture and creature simulation is a plus.
• Passion for visual storytelling and a keen artistic sensibility.
• Experience within the Arts & Entertainment industry is essential.
