Job summary

Together Staffing group is seeking a Mid-Level Android Developer for a permanent on-site role in Pretoria. The candidate will build native Android apps (Kotlin/Java) and integrate with device-layer tech and payment systems.

Responsibilities include lifecycle management, REST API consumption, error handling, and secure API integration. You’ll work with USB/serial peripherals and hardware devices such as scanners, printers, and card readers, with occasional frontend work using React or Vue.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ overall software development experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ Android development experience.
• Strong native Android skills in Kotlin or Java.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs within Android apps.
• Understanding of secure API integration and pinning.

Responsibilities

• Integrate mobile apps with RESTful APIs.
• Manage API errors and timeouts with secure communication.

• Participate in branching strategies, code reviews and pull requests.

Required Experience & Skills:

• NQF 6 Diploma in IT or higher.
• WeThinkCode qualifications will not meet the minimum qualification requirement.
