Job summary

Sourceworx Pty is seeking a Senior Android developer to design and maintain Android applications and integrate with back-end services. You will work with engineers across layers to solve problems, deliver quality products, and optimize performance.

Requirements include 5+ years of Android experience, strong Java/Kotlin skills, Android Studio proficiency, REST APIs, and Agile with Jira. Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and multi-threading is expected.

Qualifications

• BSc Computer Science or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of Android development experience.
• Proficiency in Java with Kotlin exposure.
• Experience with Android Studio and REST APIs.
• Strong OOP, memory management and multi-threading knowledge.
• Experience with automated testing and unit tests.
• Familiarity with Git/Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
• Agile methodology experience with Jira.
• UI design focus and user-centric approach.
• Exposure to DevOps principles and tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build applications for Android.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features.
• Understand Technical Design documentation when developing solutions.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization.
• Exposure to DevOps principles and methodology and tools.
