ATS Client in South Africa is seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance mobile apps using Kotlin, MVVM, and Jetpack Compose.

The role demands 5+ years native Android experience, leadership in architecture, mentorship, and strong communication to guide the team and set development standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of native Android mobile development experience.
• 3 years leading design/architecture for complex Android apps.
• Experience with Java/Kotlin, including coroutines, observables, LiveData, flows.
• Proven track record of setting development standards.
• Mentorship experience guiding engineers in the team.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical vision and trade-offs.

Requirements

• A proven track record of making key technical decisions and setting development standards.
• Mentorship experience, guiding and uplifting other Engineers in the team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively articulate technical vision and trade-offs.
