Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an experienced Mobile Applications Developer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable mobile apps. You will work across Android SDK, Java, Kotlin and React Native, collaborating with back-end teams to consume REST/GraphQL services and ensure top-tier UI/UX.

5+ years in mobile development, familiarity with cloud-native tech and Agile/Scrum practices are required. You’ll contribute to code reviews, testing, and documentation to support delivery across

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in CS or equivalent.
• SAFe Certification is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience developing Mobile applications.
• Strong mobile technologies including Android SDK, Java, Kotlin.
• Experience in REST and GraphQL services.
• Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles.
• Familiarity with React Native.
• Experience with Android Studio.
• Good understanding of design patterns.
• Exposure to cloud-native technologies.
• Security principles for mobile development.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, concurrent, event-driven, highly scalable mobile applications.
• Promote team efficiency using established tools and prototypes.
• Automate tasks with appropriate tools and scripting.
• Develop according to specifications and company standards.
• Create unit tests to ensure requirements are met and code coverage is adequate.
• Document and implement component test scripts and strategies.
• Maintain technical documentation per templates and policies.
• Collaborate with teams and vendors to troubleshoot and improve features.
• Address technical debt and perform maintenance programming.
• Participate in peer reviews to validate work against requirements.
• Ensure software aligns with development standards and underlying tech.
• Translate high-level requirements into Functional Specifications.
• Break down and prioritize tasks for sprint delivery.
• Provide estimates for requirements and upcoming tasks for planning.
• Suggest improvements to processes and procedures.
• Foster a culture of respect and collaboration across the organisation.
• Recognize outcomes from effective cross-team collaboration.
• Engage with external stakeholders to develop joint solutions.
