Job summary

Placements24 in Randburg is seeking a Senior Aircraft Structures Technician to join our maintenance team. You will perform complex repairs, modifications, and maintenance on aircraft airframes and structural components using composites, aluminum, and steel.

The role requires a trades certificate and at least six years of hands-on experience with structural repair schemes, SRMs, and reading engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft structural drawings, repair schemes, and manuals.
• Experience with composite repairs and aluminum alloy structural repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform intricate structural repairs on airframes, wings, fuselages, and control surfaces using approved data and techniques.
• Interpret and apply structural repair manuals (SRMs), engineering drawings, and maintenance directives.
• Work with composites, aluminum, steel, and other aerospace materials.
• Operate tools and equipment for structural work, including sheet metal fabrication tools, welding equipment, and NDT devices.
• Ensure all structural maintenance and repair work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
