Placements24 is seeking a proficient Aircraft Structures Mechanic to join the Rustenburg maintenance team. You will perform structural repairs on airframes and ensure compliance with safety standards, using metal, composites, and related materials.

You will read blueprints, repair manuals, and drawings, document actions in maintenance logs, and collaborate with engineers to resolve complex problems. The role emphasizes accuracy, hands-on skill, and commitment to airworthiness.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as Aircraft Structures Mechanic.
• Proficiency in sheet metal work, composite repair, and structural component replacement.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft airframes using various materials (e.g., aluminum, composites).
• Read and interpret structural repair manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Operate specialized tools and equipment for metal fabrication, riveting, and bonding.
• Ensure all structural repairs meet FAA/EASA airworthiness standards and company specifications.
• Document all repair actions and findings accurately in maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on complex structural issues.
