Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in aircraft structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency with advanced FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, NASTRAN) and knowledge of composite and metallic materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of aircraft structural components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements.
• Perform advanced stress analysis, fatigue and fracture mechanics analysis, and damage tolerance assessments using finite element analysis (FEA) software.
• Develop detailed structural design drawings, specifications, and substantiation reports.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are optimized for efficient and reliable fabrication.
• Oversee structural testing programs, including planning, execution, and analysis of test results.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior structural engineers.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and configuration control boards.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in structural materials, analysis techniques, and aerospace regulations.
• Contribute to resolution of structural issues encountered during manufacturing or in-service operations.
