Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead AI Ethicist and Governance Specialist to establish and lead an AI ethics framework in Tembisa, Gauteng. The role requires driving policy, governance, and regulatory compliance across AI development and deployment.

You will collaborate with legal, engineering and product teams, advise on bias and transparency, and develop training programs to promote responsible AI practices within the organization.

Formación

• Advanced degree in ethics, philosophy, law, public policy, computer science or related field with AI ethics focus.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, technology policy or related area.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and lead the company's AI ethics policy and governance framework.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments and provide mitigation guidance.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (POPIA) and AI legislation.
• Collaborate with legal, engineering and product teams to embed ethics throughout the AI lifecycle.
• Advise on bias, fairness, transparency and accountability in AI systems.
• Create training programs and materials on AI ethics for employees.
