Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the implementation and deployment of cutting-edge farming solutions in Paarl, Western Cape, ZA. You will collaborate with farmers, agronomists, engineers, and software developers to drive adoption of precision farming, data analytics, and smart irrigation systems.

The role emphasizes managing timelines, budgets, and risks while ensuring regulatory compliance and successful technology deployments in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Business Management or related field.
• 5-7 years of project management experience in agricultural technology or related fields.
• Demonstrated understanding of modern agricultural practices and technologies.
• Experience managing projects involving hardware, software, and data integration.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and close agricultural technology projects, ensuring alignment with client needs and project objectives.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables for technology implementations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, agronomists, and field technicians.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of new agricultural technologies on client farms.
• Develop and deliver training programs for farmers and farm managers on the use of new systems.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring smooth project progression.
• Maintain strong communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Monitor project performance and report on key metrics and project outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant agricultural regulations and standards.
• Support the continuous improvement and development of agricultural technology offerings.
