Placements24 seeks a Senior Aerospace Quality Inspector in Rustenburg to ensure aerospace components and assemblies meet stringent quality requirements. The role balances on-site inspections with remote documentation and reporting in a hybrid setup.

You will collaborate with production, engineering and QA teams, conducting audits and mentoring junior inspectors while maintaining product integrity and compliance with aerospace quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; QA certification preferred.
• 5+ years in aerospace quality inspection or similar high-precision manufacturing.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and AS9100-like standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished aerospace products using precision measuring instruments.
• Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards (e.g., AS9100).
• Document inspection results, identify non-conformities, and initiate corrective action reports.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement preventative measures.
• Conduct audits of production processes and quality systems to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Train and mentor junior quality inspectors on inspection techniques and standards.
