Job summary

Apex Group in Cape Town seeks a Senior Administrator to input, update and verify security static data across investment systems. You will ensure accuracy, alignment with external sources and timely responses to client SLAs.

Reporting to the Manager – Security Static Data, you’ll update documentation and help train new staff while supporting ad hoc projects and client relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Related degree or diploma required.
• Preference given to candidates with security static data experience or 3+ years in Asset Management and knowledge of Financial Markets.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills required.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Good communication skills are important.
• Innovator and self-starter with high energy and drive.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain instrument static data on Apex investment systems.
• On a daily basis, verify that all data is accurate.
• Align static data across Apex systems and external sources daily.
• Ensure queries are addressed within SLAs with clients.
• Update process documentation and assist in training new staff.
• Assist Team Leaders and Specialists with ad hoc projects as needed.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Stand in as back-up for colleagues.

The Senior Administrator – Security Static Data will be responsible for the input, update and verification of all daily instrument static data into the current investment systems accurately and on time.

Job specification

• Create and maintain instrument static data as required on the Apex investment systems.
• On a daily basis, verify that all data is accurate.
• Align static data across the various Apex systems and to external sources daily.
• Ensure all queries are identified and actioned timeously, per SLA’s with clients.
• Update process documentation and assist in training for new staff joining the team.
• Assist Team Leaders and Specialists with ad hoc projects as the need arises.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with external and internal clients.
• Stand in as a back-up for colleagues.

Skills Required

• A related degree or diploma
• Preference will be given to applicants who have security static data experience or at least 3 years Asset Management experience and an understanding of Financial Markets Strong numerical and analytical skills

Reporting structure

The Senior Administrator Security Static Data will report to the Manager – Security Static Data.
