Placements24 is seeking a Senior Actuary in a fully remote role to design and implement advanced actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting. You will work across time zones to analyze datasets, conduct mortality and lapse studies, and influence product profitability and regulatory reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Fellowship in an actuarial society and has 7+ years in insurance actuarial work, with strong skills in Prophet, MoSes, R, and Python.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in a recognized actuarial society (e.g., FSA, FIA, FASSA) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive actuarial experience in the insurance industry.
• Advanced proficiency with actuarial modeling software (Prophet, MoSes) and data analysis tools (R, Python).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and financial forecasting.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, assess risks, and quantify potential liabilities.
• Conduct experience studies and analyze mortality, morbidity, and lapse rates.
• Support the pricing of new insurance products and review existing product profitability.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and financial reports.
• Collaborate with finance, product development, and risk management teams.
• Mentor junior actuaries and provide technical guidance.
• Stay current with actuarial standards, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
• Present actuarial findings and recommendations to senior management.
