Placements24 seeks a Remote Senior Actuarial Specialist to join a globally distributed team. Lead pricing, reserving and forecasting models, mentor junior actuaries, and drive strategic financial planning in a remote-first setting.

You will collaborate with underwriting, finance and risk management, ensuring accuracy of projections and regulatory compliance while staying current with actuarial trends and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related quantitative field.
• FASSA or FIA/SOA Fellow designation (or equivalent).
• Minimum 7 years of progressive actuarial experience in insurance.
• Experience in life or short-term insurance with pricing, reserving, or modeling.
• Proficiency with actuarial software (Prophet, GGY AXIS) and programming (SQL, Python, R).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; capable of remote work.
• Experience mentoring actuaries and leading projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving and forecasting.
