Job summary

Communicate Recruitment in Stellenbosch seeks an experienced accountant to manage costing, statutory returns, and financial reconciliations. You will oversee journals, debtors/creditors, FX rates, fixed assets, and insurance claims, ensuring accurate financial records and timely year-end support.

Required are a BCom degree and at least 3 years of accounting experience, with Sage 200 proficiency and familiarity with Easipos or similar POS systems. SAIPA is advantageous for career growth.

Qualifications

• BCom Degree is essential for this role.
• SAIPA registration is advantageous for future progression.
• Minimum 3 years' accounting experience is required.
• Experience with Sage 200 is essential.
• Experience with Easipos or a similar POS system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing product costing and sales costing processes.
• Preparing and submitting monthly statutory returns.
• Handling petty cash and daily cash reconciliations.
• Processing and reviewing journal entries.
• Managing local and foreign debtors and creditors.
• Monitoring and updating foreign exchange transactions and rates.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register.
• Processing and coordinating insurance claims.
• Assisting with year-end audits and liaising with auditors.
