Job summary

Staff Solutions is seeking an Accountant to join their dynamic team in East London. The position involves managing financial tasks such as preparing journals, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with VAT and tax regulations.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bcom Degree or BTech in Financial Accounting, have completed articles, and possess 3-5 years of experience. Strong IT skills are advantageous for this role.

Qualifications

• Have a Bcom Degree or BTech in Financial Accounting.
• Completed articles.
• AGA (SA) registered through SAICA / CIMA Qualification would be advantageous.
• 3-5 years experience.
• Strong IT knowledge would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post standard journals for monthly management accounts.
• Foreign creditors and import documentation control.
• Assist with creditors when required.
• Prepare VAT return and reconcile it.
• Confirm inter-company balances with other branches.
• Prepare tax pack and upload on one source.
• Prepare SMART pack and upload financial statements on Hyperion monthly.
• Reconcile all ledger accounts using MS Excel by the 10th working day.
• Monthly Waste reports.
• Treasury schedules.
• Capex submissions.
• Assist with internal/external audits.
