Job summary

Honey Recruitment Specialists in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, seeks a Senior Accountant to take ownership of the numbers and provide reliable financial information to management and the finance team.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, strong management accounts, full GL ownership, month-end and year-end reporting, and exposure to statutory compliance. This is an in-office, full-time position with market remuneration.

Qualifications

• Relevant Accounting / Finance qualification.
• 5+ years’ solid accounting experience OR strong post-articles commercial experience.
• Strong management accounts experience.
• Full general ledger and balance sheet ownership.
• Month-end and year-end reporting.
• Annual financial statements exposure.
• VAT, tax and statutory compliance.
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Audit preparation and external auditor liaison.
• Financial controls and process improvement.
• Advanced Excel and strong accounting/ERP system skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the numbers and provide reliable financial information to management and the wider finance team.
• Liaise with management and finance team to deliver timely financial insights.
• Prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash flow reports.
• Assist with audit preparation and liaison with external auditors.

We’d like to hear from candidates with:

• Relevant Accounting / Finance qualification
