Job summary

Delaire Graff Estate is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Financial Manager and Finance Team, ensuring all financial functions run smoothly and efficiently in Stellenbosch.

Responsibilities include wine costing, sales analysis, SAWIS/excise returns, cash book and GL, debtors/creditors, FX revaluations, stock, fixed assets, insurance, and assisting with the annual audit. Fluency in English and Afrikaans and Sage/Easipos experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• B Com Accounting or similar qualification.
• SAIPA articles advantageous.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Preferably more than 3 years’ experience in the wine industry.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience working with Sage Evolution 200 or a similar accounting package.
• Previous exposure to Easipos (Point of Sale) will be advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Taking ownership of duties.
• Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments.
• Flexible and accountable.

• Stock administration including invoice capturing and monthly stock take.
• Fixed Asset Register maintenance.
• Insurance policy maintenance and handling of claims.
• Assistance with Annual Audit.
