Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) for a Port Elizabeth primary school. You will lead SEND provision, develop tailored support plans, and collaborate with teachers, parents and external agencies to create inclusive learning environments.

The role requires a relevant degree, SEN qualification (SENCO Certificate or Masters in SEN), substantial SEN experience, and strong communication and organizational skills to implement IEPs and maintain records in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• SENCO qualification (SENCO Certificate or Masters in SEN).
• Significant experience with children with diverse SEN needs.
• Strong knowledge of national SEN legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SEND provisions and IEPs.
• Coordinate support for students with identified SEN needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate SEN records and documentation.
