Job summary

Hire Resolve's client in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Security Technology Specialist to lead security projects and oversee security systems and infrastructure across mining operations. You will drive risk management, incident response and continuous improvement while mentoring the team and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in IT or CS and Grade 12 qualification.
• 5–8 years’ experience in security technology within mining.
• 3–5 years’ supervisory/management experience.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, scheduling and cost control.
• Strong knowledge of security systems, networks, cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Lead security technology projects from planning to implementation.
• Maintain and integrate security systems and technology infrastructure.
• Assess and mitigate operational and security risks.
• Monitor and coordinate responses to security incidents.
• Manage budgets, procurement, contracts and vendor performance.
• Mentor team members to drive operational excellence.
• Prepare reports for management.
