Job summary

CBRE Excellerate is seeking a Security Systems Technician to install, configure and maintain CCTV, access control and alarm systems across Durban sites. You will assess sites, provide quotations and support Control Room operations.

The role requires 5+ years in electronic security, PSIRA registration, a Code B licence, and the ability to work independently under pressure. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate is required.
• Valid PSIRA registration and certificate.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence and clear record.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain CCTV, RVV, access control and IoT sensors.
• Conduct site assessments and provide quotation for installations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair security hardware and software.
• Perform system upgrades and ensure infrastructure compatibility.
• Support operations and end-users; train staff on systems.
• Maintain service records and prepare installation/maintenance reports.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry requirements.
• Identify faults and recommend technical solutions.
