Job summary

Bidvest Protea Coin seeks an Assistant Technician for the Technical Division – Gauteng. The role involves installing, commissioning and maintaining electronic security equipment while building strong client relationships and adhering to safety regulations.

You will report to the Operations Manager and may be on standby as needed; strong diagnostic skills and a proven security industry track record are essential.

Qualifications

• PSIRA certification required.
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, fire, alarms and intrusion systems.
• Excellent security equipment installation skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record in the electronics security industry.
• Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record.
• Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of electronic security equipment.
• Regular communication and development of a good relationship with client.
• Attention to detail on all aspects of responsibilities.
• Adhering to the agreement between the client and the company.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Feedback to Operations Manager.
• Available to be on standby if required.
