Job summary

Stefanutti Stocks is seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to steer the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of a robust security program for the Inland region. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership to safeguard multiple locations and assets.

The ideal candidate will spearhead risk assessments, supervise access control, CCTV and incident response, and collaborate with SAPS and providers to manage threats effectively.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and PSIRA Grade A registration.
• Firearm licence and competency.
• Up to 10 years of security experience including management and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security strategy for Inland region.
• Oversee site and head office security, access control, CCTV, perimeter security.
• Lead investigations into security incidents and coordinate with authorities.

• Lead internal and outsourced security personnel; ensure training.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an effective security strategy for the Inland region. The ideal candidate will be a proactive security professional with a strategic mindset and hands‑on operational expertise.

Key Areas Of Responsibility Include

• Security Strategy & Risk Management: Develop and maintain security strategies, conduct risk assessments, identify threats and implement preventative and corrective measures.
• Site & Head Office Security: Oversee security operations, access control, CCTV, perimeter security, surveillance and emergency response across multiple locations.
• Incident Management & Investigations: Lead investigations into security incidents, ensure proper reporting and close‑out, coordinate with SAPS and other authorities, and implement lessons learned.
• Security Intelligence & Stakeholder Engagement: Monitor emerging security threats, maintain relationships with SAPS, security providers and community structures, and keep senior management informed of significant risks.
• Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate internal and outsourced security personnel, ensure effective deployment, identify training needs and promote a strong security‑awareness culture.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with legislation and company policies, monitor security controls, prepare management reports and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• PSIRA-registered Security Officer, preferably Grade A.
• Relevant security Qualifications or certificates.
• Valid firearm licence and competency.

Experience

• Up to 10 years' relevant security experience.
• Experience in security management, risk assessment and incident management.
• Experience managing security personnel and outsourced security service providers.
• Experience in a construction, industrial, corporate or similarly operational environment will be advantageous.
