Job summary

Bidvest Protea Coin is seeking a Security Manager to provide security guidance to clients and lead risk assessments, reporting, and client liaison. The role covers manpower rostering, disciplinary processes, and ensuring SOPs and safety standards are followed.

The candidate should have PSIRA Grade A, Grade 12, firearm competency, and a Code 8 license, with managerial or investigation experience and strong MS Office skills. Willingness to work after hours is required.

Qualifications

• PSIRA certification – Grade A.
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• All 3 Firearm competency and a Regulation 21 certificate is an advantage.
• Code 8 drivers licence
• Relevant experience in a managerial or similar position.
• Previous experience as an investigation officer is an advantage.
• Knowledge of tools or systems which provides access security control.
• Bilingual (English and any other South African Language).
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate and knowledge of MS office.
• Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record.
• Own reliable transport and driver’s license code 08.
• Be willing to work after hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide security advice to clients.
• Conduct threat and risk assessments/reporting.
• Client liaison and professional client relationship.
• Manpower management and rostering.
• Deal with and manage client complaints.
• Ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Incident and investigations management.
• Ensure compliance to the company’s disciplinary code.
• Initiate and chair disciplinary hearings.
• Ensure all SOPs are followed.
• Health and Safety management.
• Address security officer issues reported.
• Follow all BPC policies and procedures.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Ensure training takes place when required.
