Job summary

Real Estate Group with Head Offices based in Parktown is seeking a Security Operations Manager responsible for the security of all sites; managing guards in conjunction with an outsourced guarding company. You will also oversee cleaning, HR issues, gardening staff, IODs, and CCTV tracking across properties.

Duties include risk checks, policy enforcement, staff training, incident leadership, and budget oversight for security vendors. Strong leadership and driving safety culture are essential.

Qualifications

• A degree in security management, safety, or criminal justice.
• Health and Safety Qualification / Certificate.
• PSIRA Grade B or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in private security.
• Good leader, clear speaker, and calm under pressure.
• Own car and driver's license essential.

• Run risk checks, fix safety gaps, and work with outside police or vendors.
• Write and use safety policies to stop theft, fraud, or harm.
• Hire, train, and supervise security guards and officers.
• Identify weak spots in buildings and test security tools like cameras and alarms.
• Lead the team during alarms or incidents and write reports on what went wrong.
• Keep track of the security budget and choose outsourced security companies.
