Job summary

EdUpStairs is seeking a security professional to operate and monitor the CCTV and control room systems, issue and deactivate access cards, and patrol premises to ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires a Grade 12 certificate, PSIRA registration, and a Certificate in Security Supervisory Management, plus at least three years in security and a valid driver’s license. A strong knowledge of access control, incident reporting and OHSA is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate and PSIRA registration required.
• Certificate in Security Supervisory Management.
• 3+ years security experience, including as security guard.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of access control procedures, control room operations, and security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor security system and control room equipment.
• Issue access cards and manage activation/deactivation.
• Maintain accurate records in the Occurrence Book (OB).
• Conduct patrols and inspections across sites.
• Screen visitors and ensure evacuation procedures are followed.
• Monitor CCTV and electronic surveillance equipment.
• Escort officials and protect department information and property.
