Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Security Operations Analyst (AI Training) to join a remote, hourly-contract engagement with 10–40 hours per week. You will apply real-world SOC experience to train and evaluate AI models that handle security incidents, alerts, and investigations.

Candidates bring 2+ years in SOC or IR, fluency with SIEM, and strong written communication. This fully remote role offers autonomy and ongoing opportunities with a global expert community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in SOC, incident response, or security operations.
• Familiar with SIEM platforms, alert triage, and investigation workflows.
• Strong ability to distinguish meaningful threat signals from noise and false positives.
• Excellent written communication to clearly explain analytical reasoning.
• Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze incident and alert scenarios, identify what happened and how to respond.
• Classify severity levels, determine root causes, and recommend actions.
• Review detection logic and workflows for accuracy and real-world alignment.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs against real analyst triage processes.
• Distinguish true signals from noise in AI-generated content.
• Provide expert feedback to improve AI reasoning in security contexts.
