Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to help train AI systems for real‑world security incidents. This remote, hourly contract role requires 2+ years in SOC or incident response and deep familiarity with SIEM platforms and investigation workflows.

You will analyze scenarios, classify threats, and review detection logic while providing expert feedback to improve AI reasoning in security events. Flexible, independent work is offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in SOC, incident response, or security operations roles.
• Solid familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert triage, and investigation workflows.
• Skilled at distinguishing genuine threat signals from noise and false positives.
• Comfortable working through ambiguous scenarios and documenting your reasoning clearly.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with strong written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze SOC scenarios — alerts, incidents, and investigations — to assess what happened and why it matters.
• Classify threat severity, identify root causes, and recommend response actions.
• Review detection logic, triage workflows, and investigation methods for accuracy and completeness.
• Evaluate AI-generated security outputs and validate they reflect analyst thinking and best practices.
• Provide structured, expert feedback to help AI systems reason more effectively through security events.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
