Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training) to help build and train security datasets for next-generation AI systems. This remote, hourly-contract role focuses on hands-on security across networks, endpoints, and email, with flexible scheduling.

You will analyze security scenarios, review firewall and EDR configurations, and classify incidents to inform training data. The work is independent and globally distributed, with potential for ongoing engagements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles.
• Familiarity with firewalls, EDR, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and enterprise tooling.
• Understanding of how real organizations deploy, operate, and maintain security controls.
• Ability to explain security issues clearly, technically and in business terms.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work through ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise environments.
• Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to determine root causes and failure points.
• Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on realistic operational data.
• Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems.
• Clearly articulate security issues, attack paths, and business impact in structured formats.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
