Job summary

Icebolethu Group is seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard to safeguard our premises in Umkomaas. The role requires maintaining a strong security presence, patrolling, monitoring CCTV, and preventing incidents to ensure a safe environment.

Applicants should have Grade 12, PSIRA registration, at least 2 years of security experience, and training in First Aid/BLS and self-defense. Firearm competency and defensive driving are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric essential.
• PSIRA registration/certification required.
• Minimum 2 years' security experience.
• Tech-savvy with CCTV and security comms equipment.
• Certified in Self-Defense and First Aid/BLS.
• Firearms competency and Advanced/Defensive driving are advantageous.
• Strong observation, reporting, and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Access control and patrols: monitor entry/exit for visitors and vehicles, secure doors/windows.
• Surveillance: check CCTV and operate security communications equipment.
• Incident response: respond to alarms, investigate, assist persons in distress, and manage security incidents.
• Apprehension: remove trespassers and detain until authorities arrive as per protocols.
• Reporting: maintain logs and write accurate incident reports for management.
