Job summary

Icebolethu Group is seeking a reliable Security Guard to monitor premises and protect staff and assets at our Marrianhill site. You will patrol, control access, and respond to incidents, working to prevent vandalism and theft while maintaining a safe environment.

The ideal candidate has Matric, PSIRA certification, and experience with surveillance systems. Firearm competency is advantageous; strong communication and report writing skills are essential for daily security operations.

Qualifications

• Matric and PSIRA certification are required.
• PSIRA certification is required.
• Fire-arm competency/licence in handgun or shotgun is advantageous.
• 2 years minimum experience as a security guard or security officer.
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
• Report writing skills are essential.
• Advanced/defensive driving skills are required.
• First Aid/BLS training.
• Trained in self-defense.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Tech-savvy with surveillance systems and communications equipment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people on the property.
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations.
• Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
