Placements24 is partnering with a client in South Africa to hire a visionary Security Architect. The role is fully remote, allowing you to shape security strategy and secure the organization's technology landscape from anywhere in the country.

You will design secure enterprise architectures, define security requirements, evaluate technologies, and guide teams across engineering, operations, and business units. A strong background in cloud platforms and security governance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IS.
• Minimum 8 years in information security with architecture/design focus.
• Proven experience designing security solutions for large-scale environments.
• Strong knowledge of NIST or ISO 27001 and cryptography basics.
• Experience with IAM, DLP and security monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in information security, with a significant portion in security architecture or design.
• Proven experience designing and implementing security solutions for complex, large-scale environments, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), cryptography, network security, and application security principles.
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM), data loss prevention (DLP), and security monitoring solutions.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
