Job summary

Waterfall Valley is seeking a friendly Seasonal Assistant Manager to join our team for the busy summer season. You will work alongside and assist the current Manager with day-to-day running of the property, guest experience and general operations.

This hands-on role suits a proactive person in a small team where everyone multitasks and supports guests and staff. The position includes 4 morning shifts and 2 evenings weekly, with weekend and public holiday work required, and live-in accommodation

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or guesthouse managerial experience.
• Friendly, professional and guest-focused.
• Reliable, responsible and able to work independently.
• Hands-on, flexible and willing to multitask.
• Good communication skills.
• Own transport is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager with the daily operation of the property.
• Welcome guests and assist with check-ins, check-outs and guest requests.
• Help maintain high standards of guest service and presentation.
• Assist with functions.
• Assist with coordinating daily tasks and supporting the team during busy periods.
• Report maintenance, stock and operational issues to the Manager.
• Assist with opening, closing and general property checks.
• Be willing to assist with practical tasks wherever required.

You will work alongside and assist the current Manager with the day-to-day running of the property, guest experience and general operations. This is a hands-on role in a small team where everyone is expected to multitask and assist wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager with the daily operation of the property.

• Assist with coordinating daily tasks and supporting the team during busy periods.

Working Hours

The position will generally consist of 4 morning shifts and 2 evening shifts per week; but this may change according to business requirements, bookings and events. The successful candidate must be willing to work weekends; public holidays and evenings.
