Job summary

Cargo Compass SA is seeking an invoicing clerk for the Seafreight Imports department. The role involves generating accurate sea import invoices, applying correct rates and surcharges, and verifying charges with service providers.

You will work with the Seafreight imports operations team to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely invoicing while complying with policies and regulations in freight forwarding.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric Certificate:
• English: 50%
• Mathematics: 50%

Duties and responsibilities:

• Invoice Generation and Verification:
• Create accurate invoices for sea import shipments, ensuring correct rates, surcharges, and freight charges are applied.
• Check rates charged by service providers are correct. Timeous Query Resolution when rates applied are not correct.

• Documentation Review and Accuracy:
• Ensure that costs incurred during the Seafreight process (e.g., terminal handling charges, demurrage, storage fees) are accurately reflected in the invoice.

• Communication and Coordination:
• Work closely with the Seafreight imports operations team to resolve any discrepancies or delays in invoicing.

• Adherence to Policies and Regulations:
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in freight forwarding and invoicing
