Job summary

SAHETI School in Senderwood, Bedfordview, seeks a registered educational psychologist to join the Student Support team as the school-based psychologist for the Senior Phase (Grades 4–7). The role focuses on addressing learners' emotional, learning, cognitive, behavioural, social and developmental needs within family, school and peer contexts.

The position includes direct intervention, consultation with teachers and parents/guardians, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, psychoeducation

Qualifications

• Must be a registered educational psychologist with current SA registration.
• Experience in school-based psychology and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to deliver psychoeducation to learners, teachers and parents.

Responsibilities

• Address learners' emotional, learning, cognitive, behavioural, social and developmental needs within school systems.
• Provide direct intervention and consult with teachers and parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate appropriate support.

We are seeking a registered educational psychologist to join our Student Support team as the school-based psychologist for the Senior Phase (Grades 4 - 7). The psychologist supports learners' emotional, learning, academic, cognitive, behavioural, social and developmental needs within the systems in which they function: family, school and peer group. This is done through direct intervention, consultation with teachers and parents/guardian's and collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to coordinate the right support at the right time.

The psychologist also plays an active educational role, presenting psychoeducation workshops for learners, teachers and parents and contributing to the school's communications.
