Job summary

Trouw Nutrition in Johannesburg, South Africa seeks a Scaling Operator to execute daily production plans, collect and scale raw materials, and ensure timely handoff to production. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of scaling experience, Matric, and knowledge of Nutriciel systems. Forklift licence is advantageous and readiness to work on site is required.

Qualifications

• Min Grade - Matric (Mathematics will be an advantage).
• Min. 2 years' experience in Scaling.
• Knowledge in Nutriciel System.

Responsibilities

• Executes operational activities based on the daily production plan and sequencing.
• Collects the correct raw materials for production from the production warehouse timeously / prior to the scaling process to minimize downtime.
• Effectively scale raw materials as per Nutriciel requirements by following the batch sheet / formulation precisely.
• Supply the scaled-out batches to production once scaling is completed.
• Reporting discrepancies, incorrect weights, equipment problems, or material shortages to Shift Supervisor as soon as they occur.
• Signals deviations in current processes, techniques and/or systems and flags opportunities for improvement with supervisor, in order to continuously optimize and improve operational (work) processes, tools and systems.
