Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end Salesforce development across design, build, test, and deployment.
• Develop and maintain Salesforce functionality using Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL.
• Configure and customize Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
• Design and maintain integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Implement automation with Flow, approvals, and validation rules.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce security and performance best practices.
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing customisations and integrations.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to continuous improvement.

Job Title

Description

Location: Johannesburg, Bryanston. On-site requirement: 3 days per week in the office. Duration: 12 months.

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Software Engineer with strong hands‑on development skills to design, build, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions. The role involves working closely with product owners, business analysts, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality, secure, and maintainable implementations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end‑to‑end Salesforce development across design, build, test, and deployment phases.
• Develop and maintain Salesforce functionality using Apex (classes, triggers, batch jobs), Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce (for legacy support), and SOQL/SOSL.
• Configure and customise Salesforce products including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
• Design and maintain integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs and middleware platforms.
• Implement Salesforce automation using Flow, approval processes, and validation rules.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce best practices for security, performance, and maintainability, and mentor peers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing customisations, automations, and integrations.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams, attend ceremonies, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required; candidates actively working towards Platform Developer II will be viewed favourably.
• Proven experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and SOSL.
• Experience with Salesforce automation tools (Flow, approval processes, validation rules).
• Exposure to Salesforce REST/SOAP API integrations and familiarity with middleware (e.g., MuleSoft).
• Familiarity with Salesforce DX, version control (Git), and deployment processes.
• Understanding of object‑oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
