Are you a commercially driven sales leader who knows how to turn opportunities into signed business? This is an opportunity to take ownership of sales performance in the solar PV sector, leading a team of consultants across residential, commercial, agricultural and estate markets.

Based in Johannesburg, you will drive new business across South Africa, develop your team and take an active role in securing high-value opportunities. Combining consultative selling, technical understanding and financing expertise, you will help customers find solar solutions that meet their energy needs and financial circumstances.

The opportunity:
This is a hands‑on leadership role with direct access to the Directors and responsibility for the full sales journey—from the first enquiry through to consultation, proposal, financing and contract signature.
You will have the opportunity to shape sales execution, strengthen team performance and work across a diverse customer base, partnering closely with marketing, design and installation teams to turn customer interest into completed sales and well‑coordinated project handovers.

Duties & Responsibilities

What you will do
Drive revenue and business growth

• Own the regional sales budget and lead your team to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
• Turn business objectives into focused sales plans across residential, commercial, agricultural and estate markets.
• Set clear individual targets and activity benchmarks, using performance insights to identify opportunities and address shortfalls.
• Personally support major opportunities where your negotiation skills and commercial experience can help secure the sale.

Build and develop a high‑performing team

• Recruit, onboard, train and manage a team of sales consultants.
• Run regular coaching sessions, one‑to‑ones and pipeline reviews to maintain momentum and accountability.
• Develop your team’s confidence in consultative selling, objection handling, solar solutions and financing options.
• Create a customer‑focused sales culture built on expertise, ownership and results.

Own the customer journey and sales pipeline

• Ensure incoming leads from marketing campaigns, digital channels and referrals receive a response within 48 hours.
• Maintain clear, accurate CRM records from initial contact through to signed contracts.
• Ensure customers receive a no‑obligation site evaluation, proposed system design and clear financial breakdown before committing.
• Guide consultants in matching customers with suitable Rent‑to‑Own, bank loan or Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) options.

Connect sales expertise with operational delivery

• Build and maintain a strong understanding of grid‑tied, hybrid and off‑grid solar PV systems.
• Work with design and installation teams to ensure accurate site information and realistic
