Job summary

Dante Personnel is seeking a seasoned sales and business development leader with deep knowledge of steel products and fabrication processes. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in growing markets and managing sales teams within the steel industry.

Minimum 10 years in steel, experience with carbon steel plates, and familiarity with quenched & tempered steels are highly valued. A relevant engineering or technical qualification is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial or similar).
• Technical or commercial qualifications related to engineering or steel.
• Minimum 10 years' experience within the steel industry.
• Proven sales management experience.
• Demonstrated success in growing sales and developing new markets.
• Strong business development background.
• Comprehensive understanding of steel products and their applications.
• Experience selling carbon steel plate products.
• Experience with Quenched & Tempered steels (highly advantageous).
• Good understanding of fabrication processes.
• Understanding of welding, machining, cutting and forming processes.
