Job summary

Profile Personnel Ltd seeks an experienced Sales Manager / Business Development professional to lead a sales team in the FMCG and distribution sector and drive business growth. You will set targets, coach the team, develop strategies to grow the customer base across retail, hospitality, food service, wholesale and manufacturing, and manage key client relationships while pursuing new opportunities.

Qualifications

3–5 years' sales experience with at least 2 years in a sales management role.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities.
Computer literate with MS Office and ERP/CRM system knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and manage the sales team to achieve sales and gross profit targets.
Set targets, monitor performance and provide ongoing coaching and support.
Develop and implement strategies to grow the customer base and increase revenue.
Identify, secure and develop new business across the retail, hospitality, food service, wholesale and manufacturing sectors.
Manage key customer relationships and identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
Prepare quotations, pricing proposals and tenders.
Monitor market and competitor activity and identify new opportunities.
Manage customer retention, recover lost business and assist with resolving customer issues.
Monitor sales performance, forecasts, pipelines and reporting.
Work closely with procurement, warehouse and other internal teams to ensure effective service delivery.
Represent the organisation at customer meetings, trade shows and industry events.
