We are currently seeking a Sales Engineer to join our Waste-Water Treatment Solutions team. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering effective solutions to customers in relation to their water and waste-water treatment needs, while contributing to the growth and strengthening of the Sanitech brand.
What We’re Looking For:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering
- 5 years Sales management experience
- Must have knowledge of water treatment systems.
- Dependable and can adhere to meet deadlines.
- Ability to read technical drawings and compile accurate quotes would be beneficial.
- Fully bilingual
- Own reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s licence
Key Responsibilities:
- Be 100% competent with providing solutions to customers on water and wastewater treatment needs.
- Review quotes done by the technical staff to ensure the correct solution is supplied and quoted for.
- Draw up proposals and ensure costing is correct.
- Relationship building, acquisition, and negotiations (including risk analysis) with key customers.
- Permanent encouragement of new business in the assigned territory.
- Regular analysis and evaluation of market trends, market potentials, competitors, and reporting to the MD.
- Support and participation in the elaboration and the annual updating of the local sales strategy.
- Preparation of a corresponding action plan.
- Implementation of Business Unit measures to reach set targets and KPIs.
- Implement pricing in accordance with the pricing strategy and the market situation.
- Communicate with the technical team and manage the project builds.Check on visits, opportunities created, followed up on, lost and closed deals.
- Report to the MD almost daily on what new prospects have been created and how close the target is to being fulfilled.
- Conduct product training sessions with customers either online or in person.
Key Performance Measurables:
- Update the business plan with Divisional Manager and set measures to meet targets.
- Preparation of a sales and OE budget for the assigned territory based on the corresponding targets set forth by the Divisional Manager.
