Responsibilities

• Support clinical teams in safe adoption and use of medical technology in theatre environments.
• Assist with accurate documentation of product usage, patient information, and procedural data.
• Help deliver patient education and instructions on care procedures and post-operative protocols.
• Assist with integration of technology into customer workflows and coordinate with internal teams to ensure service quality.
• Assist with inventory management, order processing, and coordination with supply chain.

A Day in the Life

Join our Western Cape Neuroscience team as a Sales and Clinical Consultant Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting the adoption of innovative medical technologies in operating theatre environments. This internship offers a unique opportunity to combine your clinical knowledge with customer partnership, case support, and sales enablement. You will work alongside experienced professionals, develop your understanding of clinical workflows, and help deliver positive outcomes for patients and healthcare providers.

Internship Details:

• Start date: November 2026
• Location: Cape Town, South Africa
• Duration: 12 months
• Working hours: 40hours/week
• Work model: field-based with regular travel to customer facilities within the Western Cape region required

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Support clinical teams in the safe and effective adoption and use of medical technology products, including in-theatre case support.
• Assist with accurate documentation of product usage, patient information, and procedural data to support business and sales processes.
• Help deliver patient education and instructions on care procedures and post-operative protocols.
• Support the integration of technology into customer workflows and collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Assist with inventory management, order processing, and follow-up with supply chain teams to support timely delivery.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Recently graduated with a degree in degree in Nursing, Neuroscience, Health Science, or a related field.
• Able to travel within the Western Cape region to support customer needs
• Must be currently unemployed
• Must be a South African citizen
• Must be under the age of 30
• Must not have participated in a YES programme previously
• Should not be currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in postgraduate studies
• Commits to complete 12-month internship

Would be a Plus:

• A valid driver’s licence
• Previous exposure to clinical environments, especially operating theatre settings
