Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Sales and Clinical Consultant Intern for the Western Cape Neuroscience team in Cape Town. This 12-month internship starts November 2026 and is field-based, requiring travel to customer facilities within the Western Cape, with a 40-hour work week.

You will support clinical teams in the adoption of medical technology, document usage and patient data, and assist with patient education and care procedures.

Qualifications

• Recently graduated with a degree in Nursing, Neuroscience, Health Science, or a related field.
• Able to travel within the Western Cape region to support customer needs.
• Must be currently unemployed and a South African citizen.
• Must be under the age of 30 and not enrolled in postgraduate studies; commitment to a 12-month internship.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical teams in the safe and effective adoption and use of medical technology products, including in-theatre case support.
• Assist with accurate documentation of product usage, patient information, and procedural data to support business and sales processes.
• Help deliver patient education and instructions on care procedures and post-operative protocols.
• Support the integration of technology into customer workflows and collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Assist with inventory management, order processing, and follow-up with supply chain teams to support timely delivery.

You will work alongside experienced professionals, develop your understanding of clinical workflows, and help deliver positive outcomes for patients and healthcare providers.

Internship Details

• Should not be currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in postgraduate studies
