NOW HIRING: Sage Pastel Payroll Support Consultant

Midvaal Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and driven Sage Pastel Payroll Support Consultant on behalf of our client within the payroll and consulting services industry.

This position is primarily office-based, with regular travel to client sites. A valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle are essential.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification

• Sage Pastel Payroll Certification (SPAS / Sage Partner Payroll)

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with Sage Pastel Payroll

• Strong understanding of payroll processing (weekly, fortnightly, monthly)

• Experience with E@syfile submissions, including EMP501

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence

Advantageous Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of Pervasive Control Centre (PCC)

• Exposure to additional Sage products

• Strong client service and communication skills

• Sales ability with a flair for upselling and client engagement

• Ability to work independently and under pressure

• Willingness to learn and grow within the role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and on-site support to clients

• Process payrolls across multiple frequencies (weekly, fortnightly, monthly)

• Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation

• Submit EMP501s via E@syfile

• Assist clients with payroll-related queries and system issues

• Promote and sell additional services, upgrades, and solutions

• Proactively canvas for new business opportunities during quieter periods
