Job summary

Time Personnel is seeking a diligent HSE Compliance Coordinator to manage health, safety and environmental activities across field operations and head office. You will ensure regulatory compliance, maintain documentation, and support accreditations while coordinating across multiple teams.

The role requires a Matric with safety qualifications (SAMTRAC or equivalent), strong documentation skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

  • Matric with relevant safety qualification (essential)
  • SAMTRAC or equivalent safety qualification
  • Proven experience keeping documentation updated and properly recorded
  • Background in construction/rigging/machinery lifting/building advantageous
  • Strong understanding of compliance, retention schedules and audit trails
  • Excellent multi-tasking and attention to detail
  • High integrity, innovative mindset and strong team player

Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation of Health, Safety, Environmental in the field and for office administration
  • Coordinate HSE function ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
  • Maintain framework established by compliance
  • Log compliance activities timeously
  • Report internally on non-compliance issues
  • Manage information to maintain company accreditations
  • Ensure documentation is updated and submissions for client accreditations are completed
  • Manage quantity and quality of document submissions by technicians
  • Update HSE files and safety files per client requirements and act amendments
  • Update online platforms with latest plans, procedures, risk assessments and manhours
  • Obtain PPE requests from field, collate quarterly and submit for approval
  • Ensure checklists are completed and non-compliance actions taken
  • Obtain supplier quotations for equipment maintenance and servicing
  • Establish risk assessments for infield/workshop activities and safe systems of work
  • Conduct Infield HSSE and safety file audits at scheduled intervals
  • Manage compliance call logging
  • Take on additional duties as required by the organisation

Job description

REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric, own vehicle, and valid driver\'s license (essential)
  • Relevant safety qualification - SAMTRAC or equivalent
  • Proven experience keeping documentation updated, communicated, and properly recorded
  • Background in construction, rigging, machinery lifting, building, or a related industry (advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of compliance, retention schedules, and audit trails
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability and attention to detail
  • High integrity, an innovative mindset, and a strong team player
DUTIES
  • Manage implementation of Health, Safety, Environmental out in the field and all office administration for accessibility within the head office
  • Coordinating HSE function ensuring compliance in terms of relevant legislation
  • Ensure framework established by compliance is maintained
  • Logging of compliance activities timeously
  • Report internally where issues of non-compliance arise
  • Manage information required to maintain company accreditations.
  • Ensure all documentation is updated, & submissions for client accreditations are completed
  • Managing quantity and quality of document submissions by technicians
  • Updating documentation for HSE Files, safety files in accordance with client requirements and act amendments for maintenance and projects
  • Ensure online platforms are updated with the latest company plans, procedures, risk assessments, safe work procedures and manhours
  • Obtain all requests for PPE from the field, collate quarterly and submit for approval
  • Ensure checklists are completed, reported and any non-compliance actioned against
  • Ensure quotations are received from suppliers for new equipment/ recalibration/ servicing of equipment and obtain approval
  • Establish Risk assessments for all infield work and workshop activities ensuring all HSE risks are identified, communicated and a safe system of works procedures established
  • Conduct Infield HSSE and safety file audits at scheduled intervals
  • Manage compliance call logging
  • Manage all round various duties as and when required by the organisation
