Job summary

Valterra Platinum is seeking a Learning Advisor to facilitate learning and development within the operation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while strategically managing training programs to enhance employee skills, safety and operational effectiveness.

The role collaborates with the Section Manager Learning Delivery, safety officers, and operational teams to keep materials up-to-date, develop digital resources, and promote a culture of safety across the organization.

Qualifications

• NQF 6 OD ETDP Diploma or equivalent.
• Assessor and Moderator Certification.
• ISO 9001:2015 Certification (advantageous).
• Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s licence is required or advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver safety training programs aligned with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Learning Delivery leadership and safety officers to keep training materials updated.
• Support safety awareness campaigns to promote a culture of safety excellence.
• Coordinate logistics: scheduling, venues, and participant enrollment.
• Develop and maintain training materials and digital resources.
• Facilitate sessions with technical experts and evaluate learning outcomes.
• Provide admin support for performance management and competency assessments.
• Serve as contact for training inquiries and stakeholder engagement.
• Assist in talent development initiatives including mentoring and cross-training.
• Support diversity, equity, and inclusion in training programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory training requirements and audit readiness.
• Keep learning procedures current and quality controlled.
