Placements24 is seeking a Rural Community Outreach Coordinator to serve Upington in the Northern Cape. The role focuses on connecting isolated communities with essential services such as healthcare, education, and social welfare, acting as a bridge between residents and providers.

You will plan outreach activities, collect data, and build trusted relationships with community leaders while travelling within rural areas.

Qualificações

• A qualification in Community Development, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community outreach, rural development, or social work.
• Driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within rural areas.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage rural communities in and around Upington.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in service provision and community requirements.
• Facilitate access to essential services including healthcare, education, agricultural support, and social welfare programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organisations, and residents.
• Organise and coordinate community events, workshops, and information sessions.
• Act as a liaison between communities and service providers, ensuring clear communication and referrals.
• Collect data on engagement, program participation, and outcomes for reporting.
