Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a Driver Sales Team Lead in Germiston to oversee on-time deliveries and optimized distribution channels. You will manage route performance, debrief drivers, and ensure compliance with company policies while developing staff and ensuring accurate reporting.

The role requires at least 3 years in FMCG sales, a National Diploma/3-year degree in Sales & Marketing, and strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills for effective team management.

Qualifications

• National Diploma/3 year Degree in Sales & Marketing preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years sales experience in a FMCG environment.
• Preference may be given to designated groups under employment equity plan.

Responsibilities

• Manage Driver Sales team to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries and optimal route performance.
• Conduct daily driver debriefs and review route performance using debrief forms.
• Manage returns and stock on trucks; oversee crates movements for full recovery.
• Ensure route optimization and schedules for efficient delivery; monitor distribution metrics.
• Maintain governance and compliance with Tiger Brands policies; implement remedial actions.
• Oversee staff establishment, wages, leave roster, attendance, training, development, and discipline.
• Standardize induction for Driver Salesmen and onboard new drivers and van assistants.
• Provide timely, accurate reports to leadership in line with statutory requirements.
