Job summary

Edgexec (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Onsite Supervisor in Gauteng to lead a Driver Salesmen team in a direct-store-delivery environment for a bakery business. You will plan routes, manage stock and cash processes, and resolve issues to maintain service levels.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, daily coaching, and ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards in a high-volume operation.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
• National Diploma in Logistics or related field is advantageous.
• 3–5 years’ operational FMCG distribution experience.
• At least 1–2 years’ supervisory experience with people management.
• Experience coordinating a high-volume team in a logistics environment.
• Experience with electronic T&A/WFM platforms (Workday, SACO, Kronos or similar).
• Handheld route or sales devices experience is a plus.
• Strong cash-reconciliation and stock-control capabilities.
• Good Excel skills and strong communication ability.
• A valid Code 08/10 or EC driver’s license; PrDP advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate daily delivery routes across Driver Salesmen.
• Monitor departure times, route execution, hit rates and on-time delivery.
• Oversee stock loading, returns, damages and stales.
• Ensure end-of-day stock and cash reconciliation.
• Investigate discrepancies and escalate where necessary.
• Manage daily driver check-in/out processes.
• Monitor vehicle readiness, licences, PrDP, and safety basics.
• Maintain depot housekeeping and standards.
• Act as first-line escalation for complaints and delivery issues.
• Resolve route, stock, cash and customer problems in real time.
