Placements24 is seeking a specialized Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Rotating Equipment to join their Upington team. The role focuses on design, installation, and maintenance of pumps, turbines, and compressors to ensure reliable operation of critical machinery.

You will develop maintenance strategies, oversee commissioning, and troubleshoot complex issues while adhering to API/ISO standards. Join a dedicated Northern Cape team committed to operational excellence and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with rotating equipment.
• Deep understanding of pump hydraulics, thermodynamics, and compressor technology.
• Experience with machinery alignment, vibration analysis, and predictive maintenance.
• Familiarity with API and ISO standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, select, and specify rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and turbines.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and performance testing of new equipment.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies for rotating machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues related to rotating equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis for equipment failures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
